When Jesus called us the “Light of the World”, did he really know us? Yes he did! As a matter of fact, he knew us before we were born and even knows our heart and thoughts now. That didn’t stop him from doing what God wanted him to do – become a sacrifice for all sin and provide a way to heaven for those who believe in Him!
Jesus also said that he came for us to have life more abundantly. We are lights because of the source of life in us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
