NEWS: Pastor Darrin Forehand Fills Full-Time Pastor Position

Wolfeboro, NH, March 1, 2017–Wolfeboro Bible Church is pleased to announce that Interim Pastor Darrin Forehand has agreed to join and serve the community and members of the Wolfeboro Bible Church as the full-time pastor.

Since mid-2015, Pastor Darrin has served as Interim pastor as the leaders began to form a new church work with only just a few families engaging weekly. After working together for over a year, it became clear to both the church leaders and Pastor Forehand that continuing the relationship on a permanent basis was clearly the direction they felt lead by God to pursue.

According to lay leaders Van Hertel, Lew Jones, and Dan Richardson, the leadership and teaching of Pastor Darrin has been extremely helpful in recent church growth and they report seeing him teach the Bible as the infallible Word of God and his ministry to others in our town and reaching people from Barnstead to Ossipee to Alton and surrounding areas.

Pastor Darrin said this about the church, “The members of our church truly love one another and serve and support each other. I am thrilled to become a permanent part of this church and look forward to meeting and serving more people in our community”.

Pastor Darrin Forehand was born and raised in Charleston, SC. Later in life, he found the Lord as his savior and attended the Wilds’ Camp in Brevard, NC where he became interested in pursuing full-time ministry.  Opportunities to serve came from the Wilds’ Camp in Brevard, NC under the mentorship of Dr. Rand Hummel and Dr. Ken Collier. “I began my ministry career at the Wilds” said Pastor Darrin “and will continue the same disciple-making philosophy in Wolfeboro”.

Prior to coming to Wolfeboro Bible Church, Pastor Darrin served in the capacities of Youth & Assistant Pastor in churches in Ohio, New Hampshire and Vermont. Pastor Darrin began seminary work at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and achieved his BA in Bible and Master of Ministry degrees from Bob Jones University. The Forehand family which includes Stacie his wife and four children currently reside in Concord, NH.

The church building located at 533 Center Street sits on an 11-acre property along the Cotton Valley Rail Trail on Rt. 28 next to the Kingswood Youth Center and was built in 2006. Its iconic white steeple has contributed to the beautiful New Hampshire scenery noticed by people who commute between Wolfeboro to Ossipee or Wakefield.
